Mothers Day Recap

I know its been a few days, but this month at work has proved to be especially challenging and the last thing I want to look at when I get home is a computer.

Mothers Day was busy but good. Even though I am a Mom I think of this day as more of a day to honor my Mom since she does so much for us all year round.

We had her and my dad over for a buffet lunch.

The kids all made sure to show Nana their appreciation too

After dinner we headed over to see Bob's stepmom and bring her a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately I forgot my camera so no pictures of that part of the day :(

When we got back I recieved my gifts from the kids really cute <3
    On the fitness front I got in a 3 mile run in on Sunday and half a spin class. Yesterday I got a little over 6 miles in, and this monring was a 60 minute spin class. Tomorrow it will be back to running. Im trying to average about 25 miles a week as I start to gradually increase in preparation for my half and reach the beach. 

I will say that between work, training, and taking care of th kiddos I am feeling a little worn out. On that note I think im going to finish up my Dad's birthday cake for tomorrow and head to bed.. Goodnight!

Midweek check in

Happy Wednesday everyone, this week has been a little less productive than I planned but its early on in the month so not panicking quite yet. I didnt get a chance to blog last night as I basically face planted on the couch after the kids went to bed.  Yesterday I got another 6.15 mile run in. I added back in part of the Freeman bike traill to my route.


I like it because I avoid a lot of the traffic that would slow my pace. ( not that im super fast anyway 9:30 min miles right now) I used to have this as part of my route a lot, but last year there was a weirdo attacking women joggers and where its semi secluded I didnt want to take chances.

This morning was Spin class with Steve and a little bit of weights. I used to spin more during the week but with getting training mileage in and enjoying the nice stretch of weather I have been moving more of my workouts outside.

Speaking of nice weather we actually hit 80 yesterday

Ill take that over all the cold and snowy weather we had earlier in the year. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so hopefully I will be able to get some mileage in without getting completely drenched.

How is everyone doing on mother's day plans? I know I should take some time to enjoy the day since I'm a mom myself, but I want to make sure that I show my appreciation for all my mom does. She has been and continues to be our daycare for Connor and the other kids after they get out of school, and has provided endless support to me .


I think I am leaning towards having her over for dinner, and have the kids make little presents for her, but I still got a few days to figure things out.

Well time to get back at it. Hopefully someone will respond to me today so I know my prospecting isnt going to a complete black hole. Hope everyone has a good rest of the day.
