Finally got a minute to check in

Hey everyone, yes I'm still alive, just incredibly busy these last few weeks. Lets see what has happened since my last post.

The kids had picture day

Hurricane Sandy came and went. We didn't get damage on our property, but my Dad's truck was another story.

As a result my dad has not been able to get the kids for pickup at school, which leaves pickup split between me and hubby. Oh Hubby got a job since my last post. He's more of a consultant right now helping with the launch of some new software but since its hard for him to get away that basically leaves me to do a good amount of the pickups which is why the posts came to a halt again. My dad did get a new truck this week so hopefully things will get back to normal on that front soon and most posts will become a little more consistent again.
So despite the storm things calmed down in time for Halloween. They actually had a nice little party for the kids at my work and they got to go in all dressed in their costumes.I must say that my new job is a lot more family oriented than my last one which is a nice change.

The night of Halloween we had a ton of kids we went through $40 worth of candy and had to also break out the lunch snacks to make sure everyone got something that came to our door. I could have shut the light off early but I feel bad for the kids whose parents work later and the end of our trick or treating window

Work for me has continued to be good, busy but good I just won my 4th award of the year. While I am happy to have won this month has been a little stressful since its a short month and no one really wants to commit to meetings with the upcoming holiday I have a feeling this month is going to be a little slower .

This week has been extremely tiring as two of the boys have been fighting the croup. We went to the pediatrician on Wednesday but the doctor didnt think they needed steroids to help with breathing. Of course that night hubby ended up bringing Timmy over to the ER as he couldnt breathe well. The boys out has meant half days in the office and half remote which makes this job all the more challenging.

The one good thing about the cooler weather is that we get to start up the pellet stove again. The repairman came out and cleaned and inspected it yesterday. We now have a nice fire to lay by and relax.

On the exercise front I have been shooting for 60 mins of cardio 6 times a week, and a couple days of weights sprinkled in. Cardio has been either treadmill or outdoor runs and spin alternating every other day. I have been pretty consistent with this, now to rein the eating back in, as cold weather and sleep depravation make you crave junk in the worse way. Right now I am shutting down the laptop and going to start on dinner and pour a glass of wine. Hope everyone has a good weekend and I promise to be back soon .
